Dr Whiting on Indigestion, Heartburn, and Acid Reflux

phoenixnutritionals.com (CLICK HERE) Of all the over-the-counter medications available, one of the most popular groups is the antacid. These come in chewable tablets, capsules and liquids. They come in a variety of flavors and strengths. Many of the previously prescription strength antacids are now available over-the-counter as well. These medications are used by millions of people on a regular basis to relieve indigestion, gas, bloating, heartburn and acid reflux. Unfortunately, the vast majority of those using these products dont need them at all. Most people suffering from indigestion, gas, bloating, heartburn and acid reflux do not, in fact, have excess stomach acid as is often portrayed, but rather the opposite and their symptoms are being caused by a lack of stomach acid instead. Millions of people suffering from indigestion, gas, bloating, heartburn and acid reflux are addicted to antacids and have taken them for years. When abused these medications can produce several nasty side effects of the long run. When we neutralize the natural digestive acids and natural digestive enzymes present in the stomach, our digestion of foods, especially protein foods, is greatly reduced. Over time, this can lead to protein deficiency and all the problems that go along with that. Antacids and protein digestion are a bad combination, leading to premature aging, and many other problems. Antacids & calcium absorption difficulties is another area where we need to be concerned. Calcium

how can i get rid of bloating during my period?

every time im on my period i get really bloated and i cant do anything about it. is there anything i can do to get rid of the bloating?

How can I relieve bloating quickly?

First off, I’m a very healthy person, and I take my diet very seriously. I get a balanced diet with fruits and vegetables, and normally have no problems with bloating. Also, I know about my lactose intolerance, so I avoid products with lactose at all costs. I’m always reading ingredient labels. If I don’t know what’s in it, I don’t take my chances. Basically, what I’m trying to say is that I don’t need any advice on long-term bloating prevention. Been there, done that. My problem involves the fact that I overate a little bit yesterday. I’ll admit it was a bit of a cheat day, but when I cheat, I don’t go down on a mountain of fast foods. I still count my calories, and I go with healthy, tasty alternatives. I allowed myself to eat more than I usually do, but the foods were actually whole wheat cereal, whole wheat crackers, some graham crackers, an oat cake or two. All lactose free, by the way. I wanted to have a bit of a cheat day, since I really don’t do that much, but I didn’t go overboard. As a result of this little cheat, I swelled up. And the bloating hasn’t gone down in the least bit. I look three months pregnant. I had a light breakfast this morning, and then stopped eating, because after that, I wasn’t very hungry. And I feel gross, and don’t want to eat anymore, anyway. So I’ve been drinking green tea all day, trying to get the bloating down, to no avail. I need my stomach back to it’s normal, flat self for tomorrow, because I’m going out on a weekend trip with my friends. I know, yesterday was a bad day to cave in to cravings. I should’ve planned this ahead better. But my question is, how can I get the bloating to go away by tomorrow? I need quick relief, and I can’t find any answers from anyone. I just want it gone by tomorrow morning. Natural remedies, over-the-counter, anything. I’m desperate. Thank you to anyone who can provide a good answer, I really appreciate it.

Can someone please help me with a question about Midol and Ibuprofen?

Hi, I use medications with ibuprofen like Motrin and Advil to deal with cramps. However, I have recently noticed that I suffer from quite a bit of bloating also so I’m thinking about switching to Midol which is also supposed to help with bloat and fatigue. One thing I’ve noticed about Midol is that it does not use ibuprofen for pain relief, it uses something called Acetaminophen. Anyway I usually take 1 or 2 200 mg of ibuprofen to deal with the pain but Midol uses 500 mg of Acetaminophen for each gelcap. Does anyone know if the two drugs have equal pain relieving power? Thanks, your answers are much appreciated.
I did say I’m planning on switching to Midol not taking both and I’ve gone to Midol.com but I’m trying to find out if ibuprophen and acetaminophen have equal pain relieving power or do you have to take more or less.
