My period is late, but I’m not pregnant. What’s wrong with me, and how do I fix it?

I feel the cramping and bloating associated with menstruation, but I’m constantly nauseous. Sometimes the urge to vomit gets so intense that I feel like I need to run to the bathroom, but I never vomit. It’s frustrating. I’ve been told that it is very likely stress-related, but no one has given me a solution yet. All I want to know is how I can “make it start” again. I have to say that I’ve never wanted to get my period before, but this time I would be glad of the relief…

I’m twenty years old. I’ve been noticing the feeling since early Monday morning. It’s not a long time, but long enough for me to be concerned. I’m going to take a pregnancy test at some point this weekend just to make doubly sure that I’m not, but I spoke with a friend over the phone (who is studying to be a doctor) and she said that my symptoms don’t sound like a typical pregnancy. She said to call her back in two weeks if I still hadn’t gotten my period, or if the symptoms persisted or got worse. She hasn’t gone very far in med school, though, so I wanted a few more opinions from people who may have had the same problem.
I took a test tonight and the results were negative, so that rules that possibility out. The nausea, however, is getting worse because no matter what I do my period won’t start. I’ve done everything I can to relax my muscles and I bled a tiny bit just once, but that’s it. I don’t know what to do. It’s almost unbearable at this point. Someone please advise me.

How is stomach bloating connected with fainting, high blood pressure and fatigue?

Periodically, my stomach fills up with air and gets bloated. I instantly feel a bad feeling in my head and my vision blurs. I feel as though I’m going to faint or blackout.

My blood pressure spikes upward and I feel like I’m about to lose consciouness. I notice involuntary trembling (a little tingly feeling) in my limbs. This trembling (tingly feeling) started on the right side of my body, but is now on both sides. This tingling/trembling is not so much in my feet, but I can now feel it in my muscles, my back as well now.

I notice that I get tired easily. I do feel a little relief when I am able to belch/burp. Doctors aren’t sure yet what I have. Has anyone ever felt this way? Have doctors come up with a correct diagnosis?

Thanks for any help or input.
